Kim Ann was a freelance writer for several years, specializing in feel-good stories about people and families. Her writing was published by Long Beach Memorial Medical Center, Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital, The Shea Center for Therapeutic Riding, and in online publications.
She has always had a love of writing, rhyme, and poetry. When she was nine years old, she wrote her first poetry book, which was proudly displayed in her elementary school library.
When Kim’s son, Aidan, was born prematurely, Kim spent time reading to him while he stayed in the NICU, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, instilling in him a love of books. Kim writes the kind of happy, fun, colorful books Aidan still loves. Kim runs every draft story by Aidan — if Aidan loves it, she knows it’s a winner!
Kim Ann graduated from the University of Massachusetts Lowell with a BS in Business Administration and took several classes in creative writing, poetry, and writing for children.
